I would say there is most deffinatley going to be quite a bit of lathe work, it's a steam engine!

You say that but in all in all with a certain bit of "hit it wiv a 'ammer " type of engingeering in theory most parts can be made on a bench drill

Should be very good indeed.
Peter Jones wrote an excellent series on building a 16mm engine, the "Dacre" project, some time ago in "16mm today". The design was for a simple engine that not look out of place along side a "Millie" or an "Edrig". As I recall, it was a very nice project with a silver soldered boiler and slide valve cylinders. I think I spy a picture of "Dacre" on the cover

Looks like a great book, but Tesco selling it? I'd rather pay a bit more and get one from a model engineering bookseller like camden books. Tesco really are trying to take over, killed off the small high street shops, and now trying to kill off the online specialist shops too.

I agree, I probably wouldn't order from Tesco.
But I disagree that they killed the high streets. Consumers killed the high street. They had a choice and they chose the large supermarkets. If people didn't shop at the large supermarkets they wouldn't be able to survive like any other shop isn't able to survive without shoppers.
The only people to blame for large supermarket chains are the people who shop at them. Tesco is like any other business, it will grow and make a profit as best it can.
