The Domestic Authorities have now given permission for a line round the garden. The first section will be the terminus. This area will be about 10ft x 2ft 6". I'm thinking about basing the track plan on Wantage. I intend to use Metposts with fence posts cut down to give me a height of 1ft off the ground. The top will be either old scaffold boards or similar. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.

I've got the basic terminus board built (3 metres x .9 metres) and will use fence posts to support it at 18" height. Any one recommend a way of supporting the posts so that they are rigid? Triangulating for example. Thanks.

Put a nice long Metpost in the ground - them put a "bracket" made of thick ply across the top and use this to get a level!
