I had a look at this the other day. I quite like it, although it still makes the loco way over scale.

the only way to get it down would be to step the frames at the back so the cab sits lower then trim the sides of the running plate down.

It reminds me very much of the white - metal drop-on body that Peco used to do to go on a Minitrix chassis - that was all side tank, too!

I like that. Got a VoR feel about it but the big tanks look like they were bolted on after the loco was made. It's untidy & bu99ers the engine's lines. It would look better if the whole tank was one height & didn't have a join in the middle. It would look far better

Well it's certainly different, but not my style. It'll be interesting to see what the future offerings are like though!

I love it, infact I'm very tempted for my edrig. Looks like a proper narrow gauge workhorse. Love the way the tanks stick out, as if the loco has been modified/ updated over the years or even designed that way to comply with a strict axle loading limit. Never done a brass fold and construct before though, how tough are they.
I think the blocky look would match the lines Carrie as well.

I'd never done one before I attempted the Baldrig (and I think Sammm was the same) and that turned out to be pretty straight forward.
It's got to be an improvement on the basic Edrig :D
