Geoff's idea of tonights evening steam up seemed a good idea last week, when the weather was OK! However on arrival, problems of stock stability in what felt like a force 8 gale soon became apparent


Everything seemed fine at first..........





Then the problems started as the wind speed increased.........









The quarry workers are definately going to sue!





And the coal waller had a job staying onboard!



I gave up taking shots of derailments, but did get a couple of quite nice backlit shots as the sun sank........






As the gloom set in, the last trains of the day ran.......

Apart from the fact you have tilt failure on the frontend it just looks like a normal day at work for me.....  :twisted:

Was windy down here as well today, decided to leave the stock in the shed.

Very funny with the quarrymen pic, I will show that pic to the next VT chef that starts shouting at me for speeding around weedon curves & making his eggs & sauasges go up the kitchen wall.  I could say "it could be worse, like this".

Well with my track record with the wind I think it is a good thing that I wasn't there! Nice pics anyhow

Its a JD models loco, owned by john turner. No longer in production but a similar model on ebay at the mo
