Thanks Pete.

Both the Steam Locos are Gauge one Model Company and perform very well. We are building an Aster Bulleid Kit to go with them. The Line is about 250ft long at present with a maximum grade of 1 in 100 and minimum of 10ft radius curves. Hope to have a bit more scenery soon. :D

Just a few pictures from a visit to a local Gauge 1 line more than 1000ft in length. A real work out for engine and driver!

Nice pics, that line looks vast! What I could do with that sort of space....

It is vast! as far as i'm aware it is the largest Gauge 1 Line in Europe. It also features a fully automated Great Western lower quadrant signal system which is very helpful with up to seven trains on track at any one time! I'll try and post some more pictures

Just thought i'd post a quick video of a visit to another gauge 1 line last weekend. My 4MT and another hauling 18 LMS and GWR coaches up a 1 in 100 gradient!

Its the audible warnings on the signal system. The Line is very long and you can't see the section ahead so signalling has proved quite important in order to prevent expensive collisions! It actually works pretty well especially when there are 4 or 5 trains out on track at any one time!
