A steam up at Jim's in Crantock. Very busy, Tag Gorton (GardenRail) was there, Matt (Endless Nameless) and Mr Crackingjob, so 4 forum members in attendence! A lot of other locals too, so a fair amount of trains and banter.

I need one of these. But Jim's works!

Matt's Edrigadoc - see thread about his Edrig he was going to build a body for - he put a Caradoc body on instead!

Heading down Jim's extension with a 1 in 30 - first time a steamer had run on it, and it was the first time the steamer had been run! :lol:

LOL my Regner with some sort of GWR arrangement with loco in middle! It worked too! Even got it up the 1 in 30 extension, just! Even the Lady Ann pulled that lot up it too (wait till you hear the noise in the video!... WHICH IS SOON TO COME as always!)

Nice snaps Pete. Shame mine had been "failed" by the time you got there. Don't seem to have much luck at Jim's, got halfway round last year and the motion fell off (on the Caradoc).

Couldn't believe how well Linda ran, straight out the box. Nice noise too- will be ace with a chuffer. Glad we took the rain with us when we left!

Noice vid Pete! That bank is properly steep, deceptively tight corner too and it's quite a long drag- shame I didn't have a chance to have a crack at it, I wanted too.

Will have to play it again without sound later, I suspect I'm missing out. I also note you've cut me out, where I wandered in front of you filming to inspect Linda's springs

Fantastic video & as for Linda...Wow that is nice & sounds bloody sweet too!

Also like the Lady Ann for exhaust beat. Of course you would all be dragged into the traction inspectors office to stand on the carpet & defend your actions with slipping that much!!!

Need to source a carrodoc bodykit for my Edrig now, looks great. Any idea how much they cost?

I'm pretty sure they aren't availiable- the closest thing is a Baldrig XT. I was just lucky to acquire mine...

Basically a large raised oval with 2 running lines with a branch coming off it that I think goes down about a foot on a fairly short gradient, I think he said a 1 in 30 or something, with a balloon loop at the end. There's a little village next to the branch with buildings with lights in them. It's a very old layout, but he's been renewing a lot of it.
