Today we went to terry pearces fiskerton light railway and decided to hang some weight on the back of some locos....













Thats...

3 locomotives......7 driven axles, 2 trailing axles
40 items of rolling stock, 109 axles

The train did at least 9 laps of the layout before being broken back up into smaller trains

Wow, bet the locos made nice sounds with that weight!

Phuar! quite incredible. I'd have thought the whole train could have keeled over and fell off the track on the curves...

Damn and blast, I'm pretty sure that beats anything the NWAG has done, me and the PTLR crew will just have to try harder. We've had 51 vehicals in a train before but all bar one of them were four wheelers. Certainly a interesting mix of rolling stock though!

Ah but what about that one at the PTLR okay it was only 50 vehicles but it was only one loco pulling it all!

Yeah but Paul, those are only 2 lickle Corris locos, so would probably be about the same pulling power as 1 ie the Earl!

Seriously impressive, I doubt we could even find that amount of stock in our local group

ahh, most of my wagons and coaches are lead weighted to a scale weight. the wagons where all weighted and loaded. so it weight alot!
