Second Steam Up on the newly relaid SLR(S)

After a few more tweeks by SLRPedro the newly relaid railway was open again for business this glorious afternoon. Some service running was undertaken for the first hour (passenger services intermingled with gravel trains loading up at Arnside Gravel Works & unloading at Silverdale wharf ) & then it was a free for all
Pity Laalratty had to revise
Loading gravel at Arnside Gravel Works
Running round
Running over the cob
A bustling scene at Silverdale
The afternoon wasnt without mishaps! (A r/c digger on rock loading duties)
About to take water at Woodwell
SLRPedro assisting SLRMidge with his vacuum hose!!
(sucking up loose gravel after another incident)
Jack plodding up the bank with a short goods.

Looks like good fun was had in the sunny weather. Like Laalratty, I had to revise, and have already missed 3 steam ups due to it!! This time of year seems to be the busiest for steam ups down here!

Lovely Stuff.
How about relaying the SLR(N) to a higher standard? I've heared it's even worse than my railway!

I like to think of it as more to a quaintly bucolic standard :happy3:
But even i must admit that the undergrowth has become more a takeovergrowth lately

(theres a railway in there somewhere....)

Seriously nice set of photo's from this afternoon

Nice line, loco's and rakes - but the "hose incident" looks decidedly dodgy
Is that "Babies Tears / Mind Your Own Business" or "Corsican Mint" or what growing trackside at Woodwell?

Nice pics, pitty I couldn't make it, although I spent more time watching the golf then revising

Did the vicar and Lord Faa Faar say anything interesting today?

And I want a go at driving that rock loader!
