What a great afternoon we had with lots of sun & steam. I counted 15 16millers which must be nearly all the North West Area Group's members of the 16mm NGM. The afternoon didn't go without a slight hiccup or two, but thats to be expected on my line. I got there first Laalratty.

Fantastic, I wished I lived up near there!! I'm guessing Paul went along, is that his Linda? I like the industrial diesel line up too, superb!

So it now looks like the tranquility of the SLR has been destroyed!

Looks a good steam up. I really must get myself to one of these mass steam ups- I've never been to one!

It was ironic that SLR midge called it the "Mad as a March Hare" steamup, as today saw the grand return of Silverdale's most famous resident after a holiday lasting 5 1/2 months

Yes there were cries of joy as the Killer Bunny returned triumpthent from his world tour of North Wales and South Cumbria (all part of his great World tour of Britain)

Unfortunatly the cries of joy soon turned to cries of pain...


As the bunny returned to his old ways and killed Fred Dibnah of the Little Morecambe Steam railway with a bite to the neck (naturally)
Anyway now for something a bit more sensible...

Sir Robin bravely climbs the hill towards Wood Bell. Both PTLR locos were carrying wreaths in memory of Bill Pinch, proprieter of Bay Models (the NWAG's local Garden Railway shop), who died last week

Eventually I got Taliesin out, here it waits at Waterslack after a water stop

Finally a meths superpower train was run with Sir Robin and Tibby. These locos used to be shed mates before they were brought off an obscure auction site by PTLRsam (Sir Robin, but now PTLRcecils) and SLRmidge (Tibby)

Are you trying to say I'm a line hogger and take up lots of space?

No. SLRmidge's garden is full of vegetation with only a small decked area and things were getting crowded human wise! Having said that things were quite crowded on the track as well

Ahhh I see, fair enough then. It's a shame I work most weekends now ruling out a fair few steam ups

You must come up sometime this year to run on the SLR(N). I'm sure we can sqeeze you into my garden jungle somehow

Well if I can get the tilting systems to work right the faster the trains can go the more we can fit on the line at any one time, I think?

I shall try and get along at somepoint, more likely in the summer when I *should* have more time

Thats always a plan. Never happens though.
