I got my xmas pressie finally!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! Its a maroon R/C Edrig (as you will have heard!) and it looks like this:

I have fitted PTLR's spex and chuff pipe, and will steam him later this evening!!! Oh, I moved the pressure gauge too!

Yep, mine has one! The centre buffer looks a tad small for my liking.

Aye it is a tad small, the buffer locking can be horrendous when propelling!

I just ran it, I have some pics, but will upload tomorra. WOW!!! My first 'proper' expirience of a 'proper' 16mm loco! She was smelly for the first few mins, but he ran wonderfully after that!

Yeah, Accucraft must have started fitting them as standard, I will remove the hooks on them until I get some 3 link couplings.

Great to see your engine running, but those chopper couplings can be annoying!

Great to see your loco running, and I like it in red,. Should come up really nice if you intend lining it out.

Also nice to see someone is stuck for space running locos. I currently run my locos around the kitchen, but this has got somewhat out of hand as I've just won some more stationary engines off ebay (making up for lost time after my tour to SE Asia last year) and I've got too many boxes around the place!

CCairns, it must be difficult without space. I infact have about a acre of garden, but am currently in the process ofbuilding my line, so for now, I have to run it the cellar . Its not as good inside with these live steamers, very smelly!

I actually have a back garden, but as it was a new built house you had to pay extra for them to lay a poor garden.

So I started laying some more paving stones, and then started laying the concrete foundations for a raised floorbed which would enclose my Garden Railway.

However a change of life priorities, etc. has put that on hold until the weather gets better, and despite finishing off 2 sides of my garden fence, the 3rd side has just had 2 panels blown out in the gales (I think my neighbours think it is my responsibilty but in fact it was actually poorly fitted by the previous owner). So something else to do when winter is over.

Whilst not up to date here is an idea of what lay ahead (most of the tall weeds have now been cropped).

I have sealed a large portion of my garage floor, but again I do not like leaving my nearly new car sitting out in the bad weather for long, so I've only had one run with a Hornby Rocket in there so far.

It certainly sounds good too Well worth waiting for ! Thank you for sharing the video and pics. It will be interesting to see what that garden looks like in a couple of years time. I wish you fine weather for 2008.
