Haddon Station Building

I've finally got this finished!

I was going to pose it in place on the platform at Haddon station

BUT
a) the platform was buried under 6" of snow and

b) the juniper tree that overhangs the site is so weighted down with snow i couldn't get the building underneath it!

SO you'll have to put up with pictures taken on the bench in the workshop.









Shows the lighting setup - 3 IKEA LEDs set in the ridge of the roof, two Lineside Delights bracket lamps, one either end, all powered by 2 x AA batteries in a switchable battery box, fixed to the roof with double-sided tape.




I had to do the lighting like this as I can't leave the lighting out again, in case it gets vandalised.



Yes - I KNOW the window frame could do with another coat, but you won't be able to see it from this angle when it's in place!

Brian, I assume the LED's are 3 volts but have you used any resistors or anything?

It looks as if the LED's are rigged directly up to the positive and negative wires from the battery box, but I just wanted to double check before purchasing bits and pieces to put a light in my L&B brakevan.

You've got it absolutely right - the IKEA boxes don't have resistors in (apart from the red ones, which is why they can't be used with the others) so you can run 'em straight off the batteries!

And yes, it IS thawing!
