The East Midlands Group of the Association have had a tradition of an evening meeting, once a month, for as long as I can remember. This used to be held in a garden in Long Eaton, but moved to Butterley a year or three ago. We now have an indoor venue for winter meetings, so the last outdoor meeting for this year was last night.

Pictures are here: http://www.eastmidlands.16mm.org.uk/evening.html - enjoy!

It's a commercially available model - batteries are where the engine would be, with the switch just inside the rear door. Working lights are threatened..............

Super! Night time running looks fun! The "VeeDub" is great too, I've seen the 45mm versions but never a 32mm one :o I want to try something like that with a SIII Land Rover to make into a railcar... as I keep saying... one day I will...

That looked like fun!! Oh, I found my local area group the other day that is more than 50 miles away past Ayr hopefully there is a railway station here that goes on to Glasgow (cheap as chips as well)

Why thank you! I've got an observation / buffet car in build (using an IP VoR flush-sided bogie brake as a basis) and another matchboarded-side coach not started, which will end up as a driving trailer for push-'n-pull working with a diesel - nominally for the Youlgreave branch shuttle but it will get let loose elsewhere!
