Well, as the title sez, Mr B came to visit as he was on holiday just around the corner (well, by boat, not by car - lots of corners 'round 'ere!!). He appeared with a couple of boxes wearin his hat. We had plenty of steaming, River Butley (aka Annie) had a bit of a leaky port side steam chest meaning the power was rather down, and the Regner didn't seem to like the wind very much, but still, they worked! He also had a go with my Bertie, and I ran Edrig. We were going to fire up the Fowler too, I GOW'ed it, but then it started chucking it down... but anyway, it had to happen sooner or later as there were black clouds as he arrived.

He also had to borrow my PC for a few minutes to try and get his course work that had to be in today ( :? !), didn't, then left his keys/memory stick/notes on my desk! But there we go... time for the interesting bits:

I arrive in my Land Rover with me Westy (well, the model's a white cat!).

Drive the Rapier around for a while until the wind blew it off the tracks and Mr B arrived.

The line up, MHLR (working) steam fleet and 2 of the DVLR fleet.

Just to excite Andy...

Mr B fires up the Excelsior...

...Then drives it.

Wrong way Mr B! :lol: :lol:

OI!!!! WHERES THE F'IN TRAINS GONE!

Mr B then drives Columba into Mawnan Junction.

Mr B captured!! :lol:

I will have a video up sometime too, Mr B is going to send me the clips he got on his camera to add in. Also, keep posted for Garden Rail!

I supposed I'd better add that mug shot to the 'show your self' page! I had avoided it but oh well! It was a brilliant day and the first ever garden railway I've visited!! The gradients were a bit much for RIVER BUTLEY considering the power was down although she flew down them at scary top speeds!! You'll probably see in the video. Once I've rebuilt the cab on my Vincent so it looks more like the aveling and porter loco sirapite (next project) it will be more wind proof! The burner could also do with modifying- on my tiny walled garden line there is no wind and the burner can be turned right down to stop that awful howling, something which could not, unfortunately, be done on Pete's line. Oh I wish that I went there. But i'm stuck in this unknown town day after day with no-one to visit

. Any way, the important thing is that you had fun so that's good enough for me

Films getting better...but where was the fishing boat on the pond and who was blowing the whistle?....think will have to find you a station master figure or fisherman and boat

lovely, laughed quite a bit with the scared driver part! I would have jumped clear of the engine if I had been driving down that gradient. I still have some footage for you!
