As alluded to in the Forest Field Railway thread, we had a steam up at the Fairfield Railway on the same evening, which fortunately. I WAS able to attend! A few of the furness peeps attended, plus a visitor from darn sarf, which was favourite!!!! In steam we had, a Roundhouse Argyll, an Accucraft Superior, an Archangel Darjeeling 'B' class, a coal fired Archangel Jack, a homebuild (using a Millie Chassis) Single Fairlie, a Gauge 1 Aster (I think) King George V, and a few American locos that I dont know the manufacturer of, The Bumble-bee, The Daylight and the Royal Hudson. A Great evening was had steaming. Here are a few photos...

'Black Smoke' sits at what one day may be a station?!?!

The Daylight and Royal Hudson bask in the late spring evening sunlight!

The Royal Hudson (new Acquisition for its owner) blows of mightily! It was such a good runner!

Finally, while we were there, King George V ran, and boy did it run impeccably! Such a beauty!

Very nice :) Those American engines are beautiful - and that's not an adjective I'd often apply to American locomotives!

The King is awsome, great to see some Gauge 1 on here.

Is the single Fairlie you describe Cecil's one?
