A (very) sunny Saturday at the SLR north

The recent hot and sunny weather was not allowed to pass by un-noticed by us NWAG-ers, and the SLR north put on another short notice steam up.
PTLRcecil's motorbike proved its worth again in getting him to the south side of the bay with Gussie in the top box. As you can see, the greenery on SLRmidge's line is beyond rampant.
Unfortunatly SLRmidge felt it nessercery to get Tibby the Kitten out. The results a you know are inevertable.
This caused a bit of damage-to the wagon, as later one one of the wheelsets fell out
The ANLR sent Taliesin, and didn't have any trouble with the climatic conditions
Taliesin and Gussie near Woodbell, with the drivers surely wondering if they had driven into a field
Thanks to SLRmidge for a nice afternoon, and the ice creams

Great photos, but what's happend to the track in the second from last photo?
The hot weather is really confusing me, because I just thought that smiley ate my pointer then realised it was suposed to do it

HAHAHA!!! Off road steam trains!! Looks like you drove over the metals to much to get rid of the undergrowth!! :lol: :lol:
Very nice pictures! I'm hopeing to go to a steam up tomorrah, if me parents let me go for a bit (revision for exam next day :| :( )

Looks like you had a fab day t'other side of t'bay! Would love to be able to venture down at some point, but there is always something on! At least I dont miss 2moro's steam up on this side!

Brilliant photos, if the weather wasd anything like it was here, it was a scorcher. But then I was in a west facing room with seven other people having a Dr Whoathon for over 12 hours.
Brilliant pics and I'm surprised that you only show the one derailment, looking at the plant growth.

Thanks Ian was a good do and the Strawberries n Cream were Ace.
Sorry oculdnt stay long on this occasion but lots of family things to be done at home.

Great pictures. I like the overgrown track, gives it a more realistic feel.

The overgrown track doesnt cause to many problems once some trains have run over it. Shame about Gussie's missing cowcatcher but I have managed to repaiar it now.
Yes a fun day was had by all and thanks to midge for arranging it.
