Another Spring "steamup" at the SLR

SLRmidge hosted another gathering for Morecambe based members today, although steam locos were conspicuas by there absence!!! 3 visitors who have steamers in their fleet chose to bring battery engines!
Big Graham's baguley at Heversham
Triple heading Baguleys, from the SLR north, Big Graham and the latest addition to the NWAG baguley owning railways, the SLR south
At this point, the local trainspotters were getting desperate. The supposed mixed traffic gala had not produced anything apart from a swarm of diesels! Luckily the Afonglas and Nant Llywyd had sent a steam loco
Fresh out of the shops, Urien takes on water at Waterslack

Urien is then whistled away, and departs from Heversham.

Urien looks great, especiually with the remaining coaches. When will it be getting nameplates.

Erm, when I get round to it! The guy I got Gwydion's off has retired so I need to find someone, ideally not on a 3 or 4 month waiting time or costing large amounts of money!

Apparently MDC has retired, and all the signs off his that were on the brandbright stand at stoneliegh were the last batches.

That's a shame, I would recommend Alan2525 as the quality is very nice, but I'm going to be very careful before ordering anything else from him.

Thought I had heared somewhere that MDC had stopped. T'is a pitty, their signs were very nice
Anyway, we did go to the Silverdale Light Railway (south) today, and as I didn't have to fuss with unpacking the steamup box, I took Urien again.
We started off doing service running, Urien stayed confined to passenger duties (well theres no point wasting a pretty engine on goods...)
Urien waits for the token to preceed back to Carnforth
After service running finished, me and Jools double headed our Lady Annes on a long mixed train
David William and Urien on the back straight (those of you who have seen a certain topic in the videos section may recognise the location in relation to the second video
)

Looks like youve been havin a lot of fun on your side of the Bay!
Glad to see at least 1 of the badly damaged carriages is back running, even if it does look a little odd!

Glady just looks so wierd!
Some nice photo angles there. I'd got noticed that nice slate walling on the Cob before.

Love the lady annes absouloutly superb. Why does everyone get to have steam ups whilst im at work
