Diana as a loco project?

Post by Joe » Thu Sep 17, 2015 8:54 pm

As you maybe aware the valve of rheidol have recently steamed Diana for the first time for 65 years and im sure you will agree it is a splendid looking loco. It got me thinking how about a 16mm one?, a roundhouse slip eccentric chassis may suit it perhaps as it doesn't have much valve gear exposed and uses Stephenson link. Anyway just an idea someone might want to take up, if anyone has any drawings of her i would be quite interested to see them but for now i am concerned with getting my own railway finished and starting on a roundhouse chassis project (eventually)/
heres a picture of diana at work on a quarry https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=diana ... -X38tsM%3A

Hello, Heritage Locos occasionally turn out a batch of Diana's . They are on with one currently. You can see a photo on Lightline's Site.

Heritage have strong connections with the Essel concern. We ran the prototype on Rowlands Lodge a few years back - it ran very well.
