Looks like its just on the limit of that first radius curve! It's quite a long wheelbase, runs well though.

A very nice steady runner by the looks of it. Stewart's safety valves do have a character all their own.

What a stunning engine, love it!

I've mostly finished my conversion set for the Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2 Edward 7th as GWR 1212 after it's 1925 rebuild, The GWR replaced it's side tanks to an identical pattern that is on the current trio apart from the small cut out for the valve gear, they also changed the safety valve cover too but I haven't got round to that.
The tank has etched and riveted overlays which are screwed to the top of the tanks and also a slither of steel is embedded in the brass so that the strong magnet inside the tanks holds it tight, this magnet doubles up to hold the original nameplates when running as Edward 7th.
The bunkers are CNC machined in brass and they fit over the original cab sides and works plate, in reality the original cab side was cut away by the Cambrian when they put larger bunkers on so forming a 'template' for the new GWR Locos no 7 and 8.
As regards colour the Locos are Deep Bronze Green BS381C 224 and I doubled checked by placing a colour swatch on 1213 recently.

That's lovely! It's still got a heritage charm but without looking out of place alongside modern locos, fantastic job.
