I've had IP wooden bogies under one of my carriages since it was built in 2011 and have so far not had issues with warping. Well in all my years of model railways in all scales large and small have I come across plywood bogies I'm sure if they have that much potential they would have been marketed years ago and I've not come across any manufacturer that has until IP decided this was a quicker way to make a fast buck and cheaper than white metal . 2011 is not too long ago. I think ply bogies are far too light and will surrender their limitations in time as well as paints varnishes being penetrated.

Plywood bogies would be my last choice amongst alternative materials even though I would not use them outside in wet conditions.
Laminated timber, no matter what grade, will swell and delaminate regardless of how well you think it is protected. There is always part of the material where water, even just moisture or humidity, will penetrate and cause a problem eventually.

The motive power project is awaitinge finishing construction of the boiler.... Just need some free time for that now

The "proper" full length L&B coach kits are modular and can be built short. They are molded plastic and acrylic though. But look great built, I have 3.
