The edging material looks so much better than the track on sticks appearance. I can see you are 'borrowing' more ground to extend the line... I guess 'she' was out at the time?

She was in but I did it and asked for forgiveness... More surprisingly she was happy that I was making space for a station area!

Excellent progress made. The Mid Suffolk Light Railway had a run through engine shed at Haughley at one point.

A great chap at work had some spare sheet wood he thought I might want for the railway, so today's project was building the platform

While I popped to dads to 'borrow' some felt, I picked up a right hand turnout from his old layout. So here's how the station area is looking now.

If I get chance to tonight I will be building the halt. Then the next section to work on is the viaduct between the halt and the station.

What a difference Matt. It looks great with the edging and the planting started.
It is always great when a freebie comes your way. Freecycle is another great way of acquiring odds and sods for nothing.

Next thing I'm looking to get 'freebie' is paving slabs down to the station area as this can now only be described as a quagmire and as such presents a barrier for holding a steam up at the moment

Excellent stuff! Those L&B carriages look lovely, and I see you added your ELC* halt too - our ELC cottage never made it into the garden ( I "went Welsh" before I got the chance so needed slate roofs rather than thatched ones) but yours looks good there.
