Ive just commenced a footbridge for Tanybwlch but the real FR are pulling it down so I await it to see the new one.

Well, the ramblers insisted on a right of way over the track, and since the lightly used quarry was turned into a busy station, a footpath was just too dangerous.
PLUS I had a bar drip tray (amongst other bits'n'pieces) given to me from the Loscoe Miners Welfare before it was demolished

Looking good fella, like the normal rural railway style listing signalbox! Just like the 1 to scale versions, I know of at least one still standing that needs jacking & packing every few years.

It's a "Listed" building!

A bit more work in Westwood village today.
First off there's the Local Shop For Local People - what better reason to shop at Morris & Sons?

And here's the former "Cosy Corner" cafe, under new management - the boys often stop by the window on the way to school,
hoping to catch a glimpse of Betty's Buns!

So there we have the new look "Chapel Street".

Pardon my asking -- but none of the food outlets are displaying any food safety star ratings. Does this mean they are all dodgy ?

Part of Capt.Sloggs recent report stated that "... the movement of trains of tipper wagons on the main line without a train guard had the potential to pose a hazard to safety...."
However, none of the existing brake vans are small enough for The Works Branch (or light enough to be propelled by the guard!)
With this in mind, and 4 days on the road this weekend, I've packed my travelling modelling kit with an assortment of "bits" - I'll report on the results when I get back

A distressed skip-brake, all ready for some more "distressing" in the paint shop (along with the rake of skips which are at last going to receive a paintjob over their oxide primer

)
