With a ridiculously late finish to last nights gig in Colchester and "jobs" to do round the house, a sunday visit to Butterley was a non-starter so..............................................

I got the open coaches from Snape St. Works (that came free with some bubble wrap that I purchased from Mr. Bond) finished, well except for a bit of detailing anyway, and out for their debut photo call.

Then, during a coffee break from my "chores" decided to visit Brinsley Lodge and captured this busy scene........

NB "jobs" refers to domestic chores and unfortunately absolutely nothing to do with important "tasks" that need attending to on the railway!

Oops! SWMBO has just caught me not working - best get back to it!

It was an idea for the "Atmosphere" theme, but I'm not happy enough with how it turned out

Posted it up here since it seemed a shame to waste the effort!

Ta Shane, the shed was an absolute bargain off evilBay - I collected it from Derby and was gifted two LGB wagons, buffer stops and some other odds & ends

It has to go though - not "British Outline" enough for my own taste

Greg you muppet, you could of used that 1st shot of the siding for the Photo comp as I think that oozes atmosphere!!

Nice to see how the moss is spreading, even the classic station shot is going green. As for the fella on the bog, has he manners!! Could of shut the door or was he fearing a gas explosion in the confined space?

Cheers Zach, they ran great - but (there's always a but) when I saw the photo's I decided I'd made the wheelbase too short, so......

I whipped 'em off and while they were off decided to replace the "quarry style" axleboxes with "standard" ones which look cool with regard to the size of the coaches - which meant that I also replaced the small diameter wheels...............
Still hoping to have them in service for the "Spooktacular"

Seeing BOSCOMBE featured in the "Feisty Nanny Ogg" (The Bare Witch Project) Halloween video bereft of name and number plates, and catching the guys down at Brinsley Lodge standing about doin' nowt, I had them fitted last night.

She went into service "complete" for the first time this morning...

Many thanks again to Pete for supplying the kit in the first place, even though it didn't end up where or how it was intended

While they were at it down the works, the Locolines Quarry Hunslet received its new identity in the W&LL roster - she's now carrying No.7 MARION plates
