Stoneleigh 10/4/10...our correspondent reports that the pride of the Railway ‘CRANKD’ failed to get placed out of three entrants in the Diplock Trophy and crisis has ensued in the board room of the parent company which owns the lines that make up Austerity and Thrift, that they were no longer Whymisical.
Loof Ripla ,CMF to the board denied reports that the unknown backer of the company (known only as Crackingjob) swore in welsh on seeing that CRANKD fail to get even a mention. Our correspondent has tried to decipher a recording of crackingjobs tirade and could only make out ‘LLAREGGUB’.
Loof Ripla also denied that Crackingjob had to be held back from challenging Mr Magoo (the winner) to a Rain Hill trial to see who was the best, and that Crackingjob also having looked at the IP Engineering stand and that of Brandbright, that he could do better with an old cornflakes box, knicker elastic, poster paint and one hand tied behind his back.
Loof Ripla does however state he could find a space for the runner up a massage coach, and the local Gag Torton lodge have vowed not to support another entrant into the MOTY, unless hell freezes over...following unseasonal weather and on seeing the photo of the massage coach they have relented.
Loof Ripla has however admitted that a plan is being hatched under OPERTATION ‘Brilliant Ridiculous Ingenious Barmy Engine...B.R.I.B.E’ for next year.
CRANKD has returned to revenue earning on the branch line to the Razor Recycling and Wellington Boot retreading works.
Asked if Crackingjob was Bitter, he replied ‘thanks mines a pint’
Mr Crackingjob however has relented a little stating Mr Magoo was well built and a nice little loco and congratulates its builder through gritted teeth.
