That looks better! Just a shame the Workforce can't have a drink after clearing the line in the Diggers Arms... Master Bates of Awchit seems to be a regular there now...

Hmmm, I've decided to change the arrangement a little. I need more siding space to make it more fun to opperate and to give more realistic running. Currently I have to plan ahead all the movements whilst having a steam up so that there is enough space to avoid "crane shunting" or "hand of god shunting". I feel another at Aldeburgh, a few more at Woodbridge and a re-arrange at Snape St.
Must find meself some more points...

Aldeburgh is changing. I'm moving the "main line" into the flower bed which should ease a few curves and give room for some sidings in an arrangement common to stations on the Mid Suffolk Light Railway. No room for a passing loop sadly but this is the next best thing! So I've done some ripping up and preliminary re-arrangement to get an idea of the arrangement I want. I'll have to re-do my nice foresty corner but I should have room for a beech again and perhaps an industry on one of the sidings...
Still need more points though...

Right, heres some slightly better pictures of what is going on.

First of all the Standard "Middy" style siding arrangement.

This arrangement means that there is a siding which can be accessed in each direction and should yield some interesting shunting operations. The set up looks really HUGE (it takes up most of one side of the garden) and I've always tried to avoid that small space crammed with track look (I don't know how successful I've bean...)
I tried a little stock on and suddenly it shrank!
The beach or fish siding

The carriages are roughly where the platform will be. In an ideal world I'd have an over all roof over the "main line" as well.

Its now (relatively) level and the main line is back in operation with a temporary speed restriction.

Should lead to some interesting shunting activities. Of course wagons will only be able to be picked up in the same direction they were dropped so there will be some extra empty mileage- unless you authorise rope-shunting...
