Come on guys, dont keep knocking it, we haven't seen the final version yet! And thats the first picture we get to see. I think it looks better than edrig a bit anyhow, and provides a great scope for modification (ie, add your own cab back, make a tender loco or whatever!).

honestly I expected to see some effort but this is just a load of edrig and caradoc parts put together! no thought or creativity put into it at all, as long as its slightly different to the last to products it doesnt seem to matter to them.
and I was really hoping for something new and fesh

OK OK we've seen your point of veiw pauly!! You don't like it, yes. Maybe they should rename Accucraft to Porsche - never change!
It's all down to cost. If they made something completely different, they'd need new tooling, etc etc and the cost would add up, meaning a basic loco would become too expensive.

I'd like one, solely for the purpose of modifying it.

I agree with most of the members. If they had kept the Caradoc cab, or fitted the nice one from Lawley, I think it would look good, but this model just doesn't look right.
I wish Accucraft would make more prototipicial loco's. How about a L&B 2-6-2? Or a Quarry Hunslet?

The roof will probably be removeable as per Caradoc etc to access the filler cap. And they say on their website 10th August, so perhaps it's nearly available in the shops.

ive just spotted a big faling point, the gas filler valve is exposed on the top of the right hand tank
