To Sean's delight, the sheep wagon is now in service, saving him from driving his flock to market!

The Carriage & Wagon team can now get the safety chains "sorted" for this and the two vans as their next project (between jobs on the coaches of course

)

At last the coaches are done!

No.2 Third Class outshopped the same as No.3 with plain wooden seats and the simple W&LLR monogram.

No.1 First Class with green fabric covered padded seating and the full company crest.

And here's the full rake assembled for the very first time since the refurbishment!

Oh well, back from holiday just in time to miss the heatwave

but not only returned to work on sunday, but managed to do a bit of track laying today

Whilst lounging on the wind and rain lashed beaches of Boscombe last week, my thoughts turned to re-instating the Loscoe Grange Brickworks branch (naturally).
Up until now it had been out of the question since both previous access points had been redeveloped. However, in a moment of inspiration it occured to me that a turnout could be installed at Riddings just so long as the track could wind its way across and down to the old site.
Coffee brewed, the survey was carried out first thing this morning, the P.Way gang and train mustered at short notice, trackwork assembled from stores and the work started.

As I write (12:54), the extension is in place and the Rowlands Mix drying - hopefully I'll get a bit of scenic work done tomorrow before the weather breaks!

Photo's to follow and the new branch should be included in a new video shoot, planned after producing the theme music on the laptop whilst we were away. (It'll be the debut of "PhattKontroller"!)

Is that theme tune Kraftwerk inspired or something?

Looking forward to the pics mate. I was also away on holiday last week, however we were kind of up your way (Well a bit further up than Matt's to be fair) in Sherwood Forest at Center Parcs.. We had pretty decent weather actually..

Here's "The Works Branch" phase 1.

Which is kinda taking shape

Still plenty to do, - last job today was the addition of another layer of "Mix" along the route to fill out the embankment and begin to "lose" the pavers that I've used to gain the height from the turnout!
I'll report back with phase 2 as soon as it's done
