i double headed mine with another one in br black at stoneleigh with a long rake of accucraft wagons and coaches, looked superb!

All this talk of "double heading" and the photo's of The Earl and Countess on the W&L info stand as you entered the main hall today really set the juices flowing!
It was nice to get home today and take these photo's at Brinsley Lodge.................

It's a secondhand Pearse loco, so there's a bit of a "heritage" thing going on

Plus, since it's the older of the two loco's, it's only right and proper that it becomes No.1 The Earl while the youngster is No.2 The Countess

(Note; previously No.1 was the Mamod, by now in Japan! and No.s 2 and 3, the Baldrig and the Mortimer had to go to make way for the new arrivals - website to be updated asap

Just tinkering about before we set off for Swansea (I'd rather be in the garden, the weather's gorgeous

) and realised I'd not posted a colour pic of the latest aquisition from Stoneleigh.

Booked in to Berry Hill Works for a repaint, but here's how it arrived (plates held on with blu tac for the photo

).......

The broken whistles atop the cab have been replaced gratis by Ian Pearse of Accucraft and will be fitted ex-works along with the nameplates on the tank sides and W&LLR No.1 on the side of the cab.

Roll on sunday!
