A brewery for Beeston Castle

Well, it's been a few weeks since my last update and progress has been slow (but steady) for various reasons. Still a fair bit to do (ridge tiles, barge boards, guttering, painting the canopy, and making doors and bespoke windows), but I think I'm at last on the home-straight.

Because it will be sited diagonally against a hedge, the building is tapered at the back - this viewpoint will seldom be seen.

Absolutely beautiful work Rik, it is a stunning looking structure and well worth the wait.
The final detailing will make it 'real' but the windows will be a chore unless you can get them 3D printed.
I have used printed window frames and they look just fine, they are also an economical solution.

Hi Rik, I did get a mate to print the windows but as there are so many printers about at the moment I'm sure there will be someone out there who can help.

I've found a guy on eBay who sells 3D printed windows. Although these are intended for 00 scale, mine are not too much larger. He indicates he will supply other sizes on request. I've sent him an email with the dimensions for my windows (30mm x 50mm) and am awaiting a response.

I used their windows on my engine shed, but I've made the windows on the brewery smaller, so need some bespoke ones, unfortunately.

Just heard back and he has some in stock which are more or less the right size for £1 each, plus £1 post overall. He will make bespoke ones for a £4 setting up charge, for future reference. Hi Rik. I really don't know how I have missed this thread. What a brilliant idea to make a model out of cardboard first...

The brickwork is excellent Rik, (much better than mine on my garage)....and you have the patience of a Saint doing all that scribing. Love the colours also mate...

At the moment there is no back. I might remedy that once I site it properly, I'll see how much tweaking I need to do to the hedge, first.
