I have nearly completed my therapy for the stress induced in catching hurtling high speed locos by hand ! especially when they veer off onto the wrong track ! lol

Those 2 Brandbright coaches are exactly what I have just aquired, and coincidently the same colour scheme I'm going to be painting them in! MHLR blue and white!

No they stopped producing them. I got hold of these on ebay. I will update when I build them.

One end of number 8 was smashed in, as was the roof, but the damage is repearable, a new roof will be required. As for Tal, there was not a scratch on the body shell but the cab roof hinge was bent, as was the smokebox and a cab step. There is also a steam leak on the underside, untraced as yet. The loco did run later double headed with PTLRcecil's single fairlie Guenevere. The other 3 coaches only had minor damage.
Needless to say I didn't take pics of the derailment, but I will post pics of other happening tommorow.

laalrattys mum primed me in a phone call about another subject that I was to expect news of a "minor incident" with Taliesin. I haven't seen her yet (was hoping for photos young nephew!!!) but I am sure all will be well.

Uh, didn't know mum had managed to understate it that much! Well most of the damage on the loco was repared there and then, the step was bent back into place, as was the cab roof hinge. The chimney required further work at home but is better now, and is virtually straight again. Havn't steamed it up again due to poor weather. This pic was taken on the day but after the crash

Cosmetically still looks rather nice and the motion was completetly sprayed with WD40, before being totally re-lubricated before the run. Still found some soil under the smoke box when I got it back home.

Finally had chance to review the few photos I took (I was mainly gettin video for the YouTube Vid) and here are the few I felt worthy of posting...

On the friday before, the weather was not looking so good! It was great weather for ducks as a lake started to form near Pine Tree Station. Despite the weather, we had lots of prep to to do still in the garden. Some people mite say yjay for working out in the rain we were Quackers!

On the day, we wanted people to find us so we made sure they wouldnt get lost!

Cumberland Poses on the Viaduct with a train of 7 IoMs.

3 very fine Peter Angus locos line up at Dragley Beck Station.

Westmorland sits in Dragley Beck with a freight.

One of the 3 Peter Angus built loco's present, 'Dom' sits on shed at Pine Tree Road

Clearly this forum member is hardcore, drinking steam oil through a straw from the lubricator! Classy!!
