Today the Sherwood Oaks latest loco was rolled out into the yard, Yet to have its sanding and break gear added it stood silent....

and for all you rivet counters out there, yes they are all real rivets and there are just under 1000 in there!

Also a works train ran

the station platform was cemented in

and a few more buildings placed

Im only the painter and driver, Its dads master piece, the first of a small batch, This will be the only RC one (believed to be the only scale model of talyllyn with full RC)

Mate that loco is drop dead gorgeous, your dad has far too much skill! Can't wait to see it painted up, although saying that I like it as it is! As for RC....

Thats going to be tight then.

Lines looking great as well, glad to see the "Model Village" is coming on well. Any plans for the wagon turntable then? Or just a scenic feature? Your stash from your trip down here looking great now it's bedded in & I see the dead mamod is sporting Barry Island style "Save Me" eyes.. Superb..

He builds locos he wants to build and may offer them in small batches if there is interest to fund his model.

He also has taken on the odd one off in the past

Well that's a jolly nice loco isn't it? How exactly is the chassis made - I remember you saying it's based on Taliesin parts, but is it a whole Fairlie bogie cut and shut, or certain parts assembled into a new chassis, or ...? I guess one could do the same for a Dolgoch...

This one is made using a whole taliesin chassis with the rear axle being bought forward 10mm, the wheels replaced with Tony Sant Dolgoch versions.Tthe brake gear will hide the join in the chassis.
Dolgoch is the next loco to make but we will be using a Different chassis for that as using the roundhouse one is a little expensive.
