Wow, long while since I've posted in here. Many of you will know of John Rogers "The Thing" or "Hedgehog" if one is being polite.
Well after a breif remark that I'd always wanted to build one a box turned up at Snape Street Works containing all of the parts for a wilesco D10 for bashing into a "thing 2"
I must use this opportunity to thank John for his extremely generous gift.
So, tonight a brief mock up of thing 2 was made.
It will use part of the cab from John Roger's millie (which I bought to put a half cab on River Deben) and will be chain driver (as per "thing") to the wheels using a large reduction
The chassis will be largely meccano with some brandbright wheels.
All very exciting really!

LIKE the whistle - hope it sounds as good as it looks! Will it be re-gaugeable?

May be thick -- but how do you re-gauge a whistle ?

Whistle is standard wilesco I think, I am planning to make this loco regaugeable so I can come and plague all the other railways with annoyingly slow running...
