Train simulator 2014!!!!!!!

Post by Woodfields Light Railway » Sun Dec 01, 2013 7:52 am

I have just purchased ts14 and realised...... It's amazing. Ultra amazing graphics, ultra ultra realistic scenarios..... Just great all round really. If you haven't got it yet, I recommend it

"When we have enough money..."
"Where is this money coming from?"
"Havent thought that far..."

Has the acceleration of anything been altered? It's the biggest wind up I have of the 2013 version is that everything is so underpowered or the acceleration is way too slow for anything realistic, other than that you couldn't really fault TS2013 I found

I've just managed to download it, quite a few little added details to the odd things. The acceleration is still god awful for the HST though! :(

TTD is really the best "Tycoon" game ever.

You may be interested in OpenTTD - a free and open source recreation of the original. At least it started that way - once they finished making a duplicate they started adding new features and a plugin system with hundreds of plugins.

I just got Train Simulator 2014 the other day in the STEAM sale. I also got the Settle and Carlisle and Somerset and Dorset add on routes. I ran into a couple of problems the first couple of times on the S&D route (I accidentally killed my footplate crew the first couple of times by not putting on the blower first going through the tunnels outside bath, and the third time I ran out of steam just short of Midsummer Norton station), but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I've just discovered the steam sales and got the London-Peterborough section, it's scarily realistic including the track canting into the corners!

I've recently discovered Steam... So naturally as TS2014 was going cheap I bought it and the Falmouth branch expansion pack...
Took an hour and 7 mins to get 11miles with this...

Turns out this is rather competative. Im currently listening to three good friends racing black 5's on the Somerset and Dorset railway over Skype.
