Here are some pics of my brazil project, as promised, hoping to get it ready for the spring; but as always, things always end up taking longer! What do you think so far?

I take it you are building it to the Keith Bucklitch article available on the net?

Time is immaterial for a hobby. Anyway, Spring isn't until September around here.

Hi Graeme, Yes it is to keiths design,when i joined this forum , I asked about drawings ect, could not afford to buy a loco, but i knew i could make one, someone gave me some links ect and Keiths drawings came up, reccomend them to anyone

Another scratch build that looks fantastic, loving what people are doing at the moment, almost gives me inspiration to try my hand at it myself one day, but still working on my first static steam plant at the moment, just finished the vertical boiler so have the engine bit to do next, one step at a time, but hopefully one day I might be able to get there

Well impressed, would love to see more pictures

Good progress Gauge , what are the cylinder dimensions ? I have a few sets of castings for LBSC's "DOT"

Nice easy engine for a first build

or you could use the cylinders to build something else !

Hi Abby, Can not remember , Ill have to look at the drgs later, think the bore was 7/16 dia, and the bodys about 28mm long. I never used castings, i used bronze off cuts then machined them square in the four jaw chuck, sometimes this can be cheaper than castings you will proberbly find that the dot castings will have enough meat on them to do a range of clylinder sizes gauge
