Been working away steadily since posting designs for a garden line several months ago.
Some serious planing in the garden together with some major home alterations have now left me ready to start work in the garden...
Prior to line construction I have started to collect a few locos & stock. The locos mostly because a couple of RH JACK's came up for sale and these are by far my favourite RH engines (Hunslet Charles excepted), and storage is starting to become an issue.
Attached are two images of my workshop, before and after today's effort. As can be guessed from the first image the workshop is also where I earn a living, however it was always intended to be a small railway workshop also.
The pidgin holes I've constructed allow for the storage of six locos on the top shelve plus some stock, 18 Tipper Wagons & Brake Van on the lower shelve.
Also is a drawer that contains all the "Lotions & Potions" needed to steam the locos. The idea being that the draw is removed and take to the "Steaming Bay" while operations take place.
Above the loco top shelve is room for two more shallow draws, currently home to some Plasitcard & Abrasive Papers. What I want to store is my collection of very small nuts & bolts plus my numerous steam fittings.
On the whole a good days work, methinks.
