Also a few steam services ran along with the diesel on works trains.

Congrats fella, looks superb indeed. I may have beaten you to finishing the full loop but yours is far more complete at actually being a full "garden" railway. Nice one.

Don't suppose you could tell me the gradient, diameter and curve radius of the spiral could you? It would be very useful for planning my uncles line, where spirals will almost certainly be needed!

It is 4'4" radius and 1:42. I would not want to use tighter curves or a more intense gradient on such curves.
