Tower will look so much better when it weathers in as well. Knowing your climate & your special mix, there should be a wall of moss hanging off it in no time.

No messroom at this end of the line I'm afraid Crew facilities are at Brinsley lodge only.



As for the "weathering" at Loscoe, it's gonna take all the help it can get as this is the sunniest part of the line!

I got in incomplete kit off eBay and finished it with plasticard and (you guessed it) coathanger wire
The lamps are unknown origin out of the bits box.

Having spent much of the day either out re-laying the approach to Loscoe, or "round tuit" jobs indoors, I had a wander out to the railway later this afternoon.
Luckily I'd taken the camera and caught "Lady Of Sherwood" on the late goods.

The driver receives instructions about the speed restriction at Loscoe while waiting for the off.





Looks like farmer Geddon is in "The Railway" for his tea (again )



and there's someone waiting at the crossing.

I managed to catch up with her again at Codnor Crossing,



but missed her at Loscoe. Looks like the inspectors Maj. D. Saster and Capt. S. Slogg have parked at the station while checking the works.



With Spring in the air and a spring in my heel, it was time for tea!

Done the level crossings now Shane, and re-signalled Westwood. (and yes, they're lower quadrant - the head of our S&T Dept happens to be Welsh )

Very quickly - Model Town.

I was kindly given one at the Lincoln show to "demo" at the AGM and I bought a second one to build in advance to both run through the construction and have 'before' and 'after' models.
Unfortunately there's no table space or slots available to do the demo so I've gone ahead and installed them on the W&L.
Naturally I'll be re-imbursing Keith at the show

I'm just putting together a P.Way rake for the W&L made up entirely from vehicles which had been "withdrawn from regular service"
They either no longer fit in with the theme or "feel" of the developing railway, or weren't up to the same standards as the other pieces of of rolling stock so had been consigned to the bits box.

Cheers Shane, they're all a bit "rough'n'ready" and due for some weathering once the rake's assembled, but it gives me another bit of variety in what runs on the W&L

The brakevan is an ancient IMP kit (it was a swine to build! ) - The working lamp is from IP.

The P.Way Dept stock (minus the workers coach) saw service today when I tackled the problem at the Loscoe approach.
The "loop" was on the platform side of the station and the turnout / curve on the approach was cause for concern. The only solution was to rip it all up and do it again - this has placed the loop on the opposite side of the line, bringing the platform forward but the re-modelling has also included a nice curve to both the loop and the platform!

Lady Of Sherwood complete with temporary steam dome was rostered, also acting as test loco (if an 0-6-0 can get round, the rest of 'em can ) - snapped here from the top of Codnor Castle tower.
