The new uprated piston set is still very stiff and needs more running in, but the new regulator is leaking quite a lot, meaning that there isn't enough steam reaching the pistons at solve this. What i think the problem with the reg is that the part where the steam pipe slots into the dead leg lubricator section before the old reg, now reverser, and when i open the reg i hear the fire roar as if it's trying to be blown out, but I've never seen any steam coming from underneath or coming up through the combustion chamber
Another problem is that i've seen other mamods and the pistons on them are dripping with oil everywhere, and yet even though i do oil the pistons on mine, i don't think that the dead leg is providing enough oil to the pistons to help run them in
and also i found that the only time she did run properly, she only liked pure oil in the dead leg oil reservoir, so it meant i had to extract the water out of it every 5 mins! So yes this mamod is being the most prototypical mamod in exsitance! and the annoying thing is, is that she did run beautifully before i modded her!
Oh, and one more thing, does anyone thing it's possible to add sandbox levers like on Blanche/Linda etc (or a simular style) to my edrig at all, if the sandboxes were right next to the side tanks on the front running plate at all?
If anyone has any suggestions to fix the steam pipe (soldering?) and the lubrication issue that would be greatly appriciated!
