And i can also safely report that today, was mostly a complete failiure! 
Problem No 1: 4 inches of snow, and also ice had completely covered the track
No.2 the track had warped a LOT under the ice, meaning de-railments were happening all the time
3. it took me around an hour and a half to clear 20 years of track
4. when i finally got round to running passenger trains, eventually the axelboxes completely froze up! meaning the carriages didn't move at all
5. I tried to move the mamod carriage from the snow with Pheonix, and i tried for ages, and found out that the wheels were completely frozen to the track and also the axelboxes WELL frozen!
6 dad decided to chase a sheep away that destroyed 2 of the 3 replica D&FGR waggons, so they are up for repair tonight
So as you can tell it was quite a day! but i'll still post the pics up when i get time

Well here are some of the pics from yesterday:
Underneath there somewhere is a mamod carriage.....
Railway, what railway?.....
Pheonix prepares to clear the track, a snow blower would have really been useful here.....
the ice on the tracks when trying to clear the snow
eventually one side of the mamod carriage was found!
and after an hour and a half, the lice was clear as well, notice the ice above the railhead level behind the loco, and also notice the next picture when i lift pheonix up to figure out why she wasn't moving....
Pheonix is well and truely engulfed by snow!

attempts to remove the carriage from the ice were futile.....

One nice thing of the day was that i had a robin which was very curious about what i was doing with the loco etc, and wasn't even phased by the bang lighting the fire! so that was a nice touch, and also, the nickname for the D&FGR also happens to be "The Robin Line" due to the translation from Welsh to English!
I had another attempt at trying to get the carriage out, wasn't happening!

And because yesterday was a complete failiure, the remaining passengers that stayed around were given footplate rides up and down the line, and were also given free "Drive an Engine" Passes for the inconvenience caused

The waggons thankfully are repairable, one already has been repaired! unfortunatly on the others the buffers are still encased in ice, and i need them before i can continue repairing it, so thats on the back bench for a while! and also i didn't get any vids snowploughing! mainly cause the plough only managed to clear a yard before creating a big wall of compact snow in front of it which had to be cleared by hand! and the rest was mostly cleared by hand so i could break up the ice a bit!
and yes, if you think you've got a lot of snow....think again! still hasn't beaten the record of snow that i've had back in 2003 or 04...
