A MoD inspired line..

Post by biggerdom » Sun Jun 06, 2010 8:34 pm

Hi all, here is a few pics of my ongoing project that is a MoD inspired line. Its loosely based on a storage depot which supply's the Army Navy RAF (rule 8 of course!) items can be transferred  to/from the site by either road or sea, and then stored in underground bunkers until needed.

I am in the process of building a jetty scene but am constantly fighting the weeds which seem to be winning!

Motive power consists mostly of two Baguleys that do most of the movement with the sometimes use of a Edrig normally on passenger service that is needed the carry the vast amount of troops around the large site.

Rolling stock is mostly modified kits or scratch built, will post pictures of all these at a later date.

Let me know of your views,

Cheers,
-Dom.

Excellent idea, makes for something a bit different :) You ought to build a couple of Chattenden and Upnor toastracks... ;) :P

Now that's different! Coming on well. I bet there's no shortage in supply of scenic detailing stuff, just get plastic soldier toys!

I'm liking this loads! Something fresh and your concrete creations (tunnel mouths, bunkers, hard standing etc) are brilliant! :D
Nicely co-ordinated rolling stock too with the military colour scheme.
What range of soldiers and vehicles are you using to get them close to scale?
(Conversion possibilities spring to mind :D )

Keep the photo's coming, I'd like to see some more of your work.

That does look good & different. It's certainly got that military concrete look going well. Nice one.
