Summer steamups at the MGLR

Post by MoelygestLR » Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:14 pm

towards the end of last week I had 2 informal steam ups on the Moel Y Gest Light Railway.

I must say the extension to my railway makes it much more interesting to run with more than one train.

anyway here are the pics ....

Yeh, it was good, quite interesting to operate now. I look forward to Jack being back so we can rotate locos and have even more shunting.

Just been sorting out fitting the lamps to my Baguley, can't decide whether I've got the bottle to paint the wasp stripes though.

I was gunna say, it certainly needs some black stripes on it!

Lovely photos Paul, new extension looks great.

Looks great! I may certainly have to arrange a visit when I am in Wales, I shan't even have to re-gauge!
Will you be attaching "y-cymro" to you baguly at any point Will?

Yes it was much better, and like will said when Jack is back (haha poet an i dont know it - sorry! ) which isnt very far off at all. the chassis was put back together today and the final upgrades need to be made and then the body put back together.

it looks quite different now. especially in the cab area. it may be having trials on a local garden railway this weekend with any look!

Ratty and Zach, both of you should be most welcome to run on my line, just let me know (again - i know but i forget easily!) the dates when you are about and I will try and make sure you can come over and have a run.
