The Windy Ridge Railroad
Much regauging brought about a dozen steamers to the annual steam up on the 45mm Windy Ridge Railroad which, as usual, brought the out the sun, even though the morning had been dull & overcast. The killer rabbit was busy out & about cadging lifts on most of the trains throughout the afternoon

Well you see the footplate crew were sick of getting soaked through in our lovely British weather, so a redundant cab cover was purloined from the Little Morecambe Rly which has now made Relief driver Willi Eckerslike, in particular, very happy.DolwyddelanLightRail wrote:nice railway! and that edrig looks quite bizzare with the cab!

It's just a pitty it looks so awefull...
Great pics Midge, it was a bit strange having the 2 biggest NWAG steamups of the year within a week of each other but was great all the same. This was also the first Windy Ridge even in which I believe not a single piece of american rolling stock was used, the WRR has invested in lots of lovely IP engineering carriages. I'll post my pics later, unfortunatly pics can't really do justic to the loco Jools brought, "Lord Faa Faar's Jelofee", which caused hilarity with the vicar and Lord Faa Faar talking to each other at regular intervals! There may be a video of this eventually...

It might be a nicer word but it's not suitable for describing that cab roof!

The day started with a bit of guage 1 electric running, a bit different to the usual G scale American stuff

Roundhouse Billy with some of the WRR new carriages
Hartside from the Forest Fields Railway, we're off there again in a few weeks
Lord Faa Faar's Jalofee, with the vicar on the left, The Killer Bunny and Lord Faa Faar himself on the right
Lesley K was then host to the Bunny as he went for several rides round the garden
The PTLR's Excelsior Kerrie Anne lost in the scenary
Urien and the other new rake of carriages
Paul's Linda seen from below
Double headed Lady Anne's with Urien and Alicia
Lesley K hides another red Lady Anne, Lady Sarah (we almost managed a triple header of red Lady Annes!)
Blaze Away from the Fairfield Railway
Finally, Lesley K and Lady Sarah again
