Sod's law everyone already knows about this, but I've only just spotted it on the Track Shack website.
Accucraft will be producing a Lawley power unit, and will be a great basis for a powerful loco

I had seen it, but it was only being proposed so is good to see that it is available, at a good price too!

I had been looking in to it with a view to buying one but have now decided to save up for a russell chassis.

Nice. Maybe simply 7 8ths will make a baldrick body for the new 0-6-0 frame.

I'm quite tempted to get something like that, as following on from LMSjool's Lady of the Lakes, I would like to make my own large tender loco. But £550 is still a bit much for me

Ragleth at £375 is extremely tempting, I'm wondering if I could make it into an FR / old WHR engine at all? I expect it's too big though

Quite true, my Roundhouse Linda is slightly wide for 16mm although she's about right for length and height

If you didn't want it to be exact 16mm scale, I would have thougth that Beddgelert would be best.

Obviously you would need to extend the frames to allow for a pony truck and change the smokebox but it would be a nice challenge.
