Yet more coal fired models are coming onto the market.

First from Back 2 Bay 6, an 0-6-0 saddle tank named Horatio, with obvious inspiration from the FR Hunslets.

and more from DJB, Lady Eleanor, an 0-6-0 with Baldrick body.
and, a 7/8ths scale version of the ever so nice Robert, based on a billy chassis.
and! Heywood Ella and Muriel.

Several nice locos there- got to wonder if the market is going to get a bit saturated though, what with the Lady Annette as well.

I do like the saddle tank. I wish someone would do a full length saddle tank though!

Aye. Like the majority of standard gauge saddle tanks in fact! And a few narrow gauge ones.

Also, bonus points for not saying "like a J94"- one of my pet hates, that.

Actually Keith, I'd say this forum is good evidence that the hobby perhaps doesn't have such a grim future as some may suggest- plenty of enthusiastic youngsters here!

It is of course a shame that we have lost several significant members of this wonderful hobby recently, but hopefully this will indeed encourage some of the older members to welcome the younger enthusiasts into the fold a bit more enthusiastically, as you say.

That said, nearly everyone I have met, in both the 16mm and G scale worlds, has been nothing but friendly, kind and helpful to me. There's always the odd one, but far and away the majority have made me extremely welcome.
