Today the DVR decided to take the redundant and rather forgoten otto into the lines derby works (the railway is in hampshire! The project is to include a rewire as in electric mode the engine ran the opposite way to everything else! Also a new radio controlled car cicuit to be installed for the tender. The old one was deemed beyond economical repair. Here are the two units posed before dismantling on my new workbench (this bench also serves as a work surface for uni stuff too!
Otto and tender. Cab is the orriginal with tanks and back removed. It has also been painted a more model like black as opposed to toy like green. Tender is an LGB wagon bits and a chassis sawn in half, shortend and glued back together again.
