It's quite heavy as it is, but I wouldn't mind adding a smidgen more low down. Wouldn't stick it in the box though, a.) full of radio gear b.) it'll wheelie everywhere
Getting the weight out of balance will actually make it worse.
Big enough engines not to look silly on a long train, especially with a cab fitted!

I have been toying with the idea of weighing it down more because of my current incline! I don't know what the gradient of it is, but it rises up 2/3rds of the height of Edrig in 2 1/2 foot, if anyone can figure that out????

You don't need to add weight for that!

I thought you might add your opinion to that at some point.
he is of course reffering to the time when his edrig pulled TonyW's standard rake of wagons he pulls behind his Garratt

Actually I was reffering to the time it pulled Tony's coaches & wagons, some 64 axles from memory.

I bet Alicia would cope with that quite easily
Well hopefully Linda will do or doublehead and it will be easy!

Tony didn't reckon a standard Roundhouse loco would do it, but 'Monarch' did because of the extra weight added by coalfiring.

Nothing compared to this (
http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/about1339.html ) and you know how well weighted Tony's stock is. Not bad for £400s worth of loco!! Two years old now too, how time flys when you're having fun, I guess it's better than doing nothing!

Only at first, as soon as the oil wore off the treads and it found it's feet, it was away, then I used the top up valve to maintain a healthy water level.
