The Forest Fields Railway September 2009 steamup

As forum members might have worked out by now, the Forst Fields Railway holds 2 steamups a year, one in June and one in September. The Septeber one was today and although not as well attented as usual due maninly to NWAG members holidays, it was still a good do. Here are some pics

My Baguley Caeronwy Castle on a what is a nowadays quite rare outing to another railway.

PTLRcecil brought Sir Robin, which these days has the haulege capacity of an Z gauge loco and so is accompanied by Stan Laurel the PTLR Baguley

I brought along Urien as well, which as usual found itself well suited to the line

With SLRmidge on holiday, only the SLR (south) was represented, with Eden, another Lady Anne

Lady Annes, ancient and modern. Urien pulled the train whilst Sir Robin did almost nothing except occsionally set the track on fire

Regner Willi from the Burnly and Bolton-le-Sands light Railway

With a burger in one hand and this months Garden Rail on the other, PTLRcecil thought he was in heaven!

Don't worry, I'm sure the combined brians of the PTLR will have it sorted out soon enough. It is also to appear in a fetching new livery at some point

Lovely pictures, I spot PTLRcecil reading about the Gauge 3 Edrig (which is interesting and looks oddly right!).

Hmmm, Tell ptlrcecil that the local garden railway owner here can fix a fantastic amount of gear. I just got my SEL 1540 standard back, No job is too small as demonstrated when he remade a new piston for it & as people should know, SEL cylinders are tiny compared to a mamod's cylinder. So a clear message to Ptlrcecil, Send sir robin here & I guarantee that he can fix it for you & he's got his own railway so he can test it as well.

Ye, I wouldn't worry, the PTLR have rebuilt old Lady Annes before.

Nice try as far as getting a free loco is concerned though
