I was planning a nice quiet afternoon in the garden, maybe doing a bit of weeding and tidying up, followed by giving Urien its first run on the ANLR since overhaul. Then SLRmidge rang up...
I mentioned I would be running Urien later on, and as he asked whether he could come round, I said he could.
In the interveaning hour, SLRmidge had rung Pedro de Hooton of the other SLR and invited him as well.
So at about 2.15 I set out into the garden to find Midge and Pedro already here, and with engines! Then before I knew it, an exchange of texts had LMSjools here as well!
To top it all, even my cousen turned up!
Anyway some pics

Looks like youi had a fun afternoon! I've spent my afternoon laying track at the FR, and track maintanence work at the WRR this evening!

No, i'm glad to say, it was to stop them being pulled off on the curves as there were some heavy (ie now weighted with lead) bogie coaches behind. it was also to make the Edrigs work harder. To be fair, the LMS' Edrig Lady Adele managed to move the whole train on its own

Lucky b*****d, I wish I had people ringing me up for a steam up - would be a change from revising Chemistry...
Watch out, Will or Andy will probably post, boasting their Edrig could haul that whole train single handed.......

Excellent photographs. Proof that the bush telegraph is excellent in the North West of Lancashire. Nice to see some sunshine. Have you been having all the rain which we have? (fingers crossed that it means that it'll be sunny when we go on the Tal-y-llyn).

Well it were chilly and damp and rained this evening after all but we still ran Mineral Services here on the LMS.

After all that hard work Christopher and I celebrated with a FAB ! lol
