From the same steam up that will made a video about a short while ago, here are some (rather good i think) photos of the MGLR at night. Just to show that 'cos its dark it doesnt mean trains stop

A picture of my new lighted coaches. these are IP FR bug boxes with lights added by myself. finishing touches are still required but i think they are pretty good now.

That last photo was taken by the guy who owns the blue 5in loco, Paul is the one who has a face of concentration and I'm the one in the coach.

well i was sort of concentrating, driving some one elses pride and joy, you dont want to break/derail/destroy (delete as appropriate :p) it!

My face of concentration is based on me trying to tell if anyone is sending a message through on the radio.

They're all good, but that caption takes the biscuit for being a TERRIBLE pun! Did you use LED's to light the coaches?

I couldn't think of any other reason why it would be going backwards! and it was late when i posted it!

Yes i used LEDs available from lineside delights. 12V super bright LEDs with 9 Volt resistors and powered by a 9V battery hung underneath on the chassis. Sort of slung between the frames.

OK - a tip. If you have an IKEA near you (or know somebody who does and can go for you) go or send him/her there when the Christmas stuff arrives. For the last two years, they've sold a switched battery box with a metre or two of cable and a string of white LEDs for £1-57 - an absolute BARGAIN! They do other colours too, but you can't mix the red ones with the others. 'coz there's a resistor in the battery box!
