Out and about with the P-Way on the MHLR

Drivers on the line have been complaining to management about oversized flowers hitting them in the face. So we sent the lads out to sort it!


First off, they did some trimming on Bar Bank where the Saxifrage was overhanging the tracks.



This shot shows the extent of the suspect plants.


All done and dusted. Good job lads!


Oh, and the local crane hire company had one of their cranes nicked earlier, we found this further along the line...


"THE LEANING TOWER OF SKIPS" as it is now known between the locals!

Will, you do realise that not every garden railway has to be prototypical?! I can't afford to hire gardeners and have a team of men doing nothing! Why couldn't the Permanent Way gang trim back the hedges if there is no permanent way work to be carried out?!  :?

thats why my gang are now known as "the dab hand gang" as they are a dab hand at more or less anything, not just track work.

Its not preserved though! Its a small Cornish railway serving a quarry and the local villages.
