Did some more work in the workshop today. I wasnt happy with the first boiler as the holes didnt line up so made another one and fited all the bits to it.

just need some glass tube for the site glass.

Thanks for letting me know about the holes, it certainly is looking good.

You could always use the spare for a tap for making miniature cups of tea. lol

I received this package in the mail yesterday
will save me a great deal of work on the frames etc

got them from model engineers laser in the uk

did some more work on the lathe today
I made the 4 bushes for the main linkages
made the drive pins
cleaned up the cranks and assembled the axles.

I painted the frames with an etch undercoat.

Jon it is supposed to end up being an eric from the book that im using but im not sure of my metal skills so may end up looking like a open cab quarry engine

Here is an update

I had some blanks for the wheels so put them in the lathe and drilled the holes for the axels.
next it put a spare bit of stock in and made a mandrel to hold the wheels

here is the completed wheels fitted to the frame

now to start the cylinders a daunting task for a newbie
